24-hour mode
electronic mode of operation for a continuous changing of the air with very low noise levels. Ideal for maintaining a healthy environment even when not cooking. When activated, operates one time per hour for 10 minutes for a 24-hour period.
Accessories
different accessories to personalize the hood, practical and easy to apply. Filters, backsplashes, chimney kits, make up air dampers and remote controls are to be chosen separately and matched on the installed hood according to your tastes and needs.
Air capacity
indicates the volume of air captured into the hood in a minute. It is measured in cubic feet per minute of air movement or CFM.
Backsplash
it protects the walls between the stove top and the hood from eventual splashes from the cooking. It is matched to the finish of the hood.
Baffle filter
a stainless-steel grease filter patented by Faber which offers professional effectiveness (it captures more than 90% of the grease particles). It is washable by hand or dishwasher.
Body
the part of the hood that contains the hood suction motor and moves the air. The control panel is on this section.
Charcoal filters
these anti-odor filters are mounted only on ductless or recirculating hoods. They are made of active carbon which traps bad odors. The charcoal filters lose their effectiveness after three months of normal functioning and must be replaced. Some models have a long-lasting charcoal filter that can be washed and reused.
Chimney
is part of the hood placed on top of the body on a canopy range hood: it covers the motor or the ductwork. There are different sizes depending on the height of the ceiling where the hood is to be installed.
Comfort panel
a sound-proofing cushion that together with the perimeter aspiration reduces the perceived noise by 25%
Delayed switch-off
electronic timer that automatically turns off the hood after a certain amount of time.
Ductless or Recirculating hood
the functioning mode of the hood is odors are filtered by means of charcoal filters and then return the air into the kitchen.
Ducting hood
A hood that extracts cooking contaminants out of the kitchen and outside by means of a ducting system. It is the recommended installation method.
Ducting system
all the metal pipes that move air to the outside. The diameter of the ducting system affects the effectiveness of your hood. Always use the recommended duct diameter as shown in the installation instructions.
Easy Cube
system that allows an easy and accurate mounting of the hood.
Easy Dismounting
system that allows a quick removal of the range hood unit for easy maintenance.
Electronic Controls
controls interface that allows you to use all the electronic functions of your hood in a simple and quick way, or even automatically. The hoods equipped with electronics have additional functions that improve the comfort use of the hood.
Filter Alarm
An electronic light or function on the Faber Cloud App that indicates when to wash or replace filters.
Finish
Indicates the materials andcolors that characterize the aesthetics of your hood.
Grease filter
a filter that protects the motor from the grease contained in the fumes and steam captured by the hood. All the hoods are equipped with a grease filter.
Installation typology
the location of the hood over the stove: 1. wall 2. downdraft 3. island 4. undercabinet 5. built-in / integrated.
Intensive speed
the maximum air capacity of the motor meant to quickly eliminate cooking odors. Varies by hood from 6 – 10 minutes of operating time.
Lighting
the hoods are equipped with lights to illuminate the cooking surface. Hoods have various types and power watts or (W).
Mechanical pushbutton
controls interface that allows you to turn on, adjust and turn off the hood manually. You can also turn on the light to illuminate the cooking surface.
Noise level
expressed in sones the noise generated by the hood during operation. The noise is mostly generated by the flow of air that is created inside the hood during operation.
Perimeter Aspiration
a technology that uses the Venturi effect to increase the speed of the exhausted air by reducing the size of the air slots. We developed perimeter extraction by adding sound-proofing panels to reduce noise dramatically. The perimeter aspiration allows innovative aesthetics and easy cleaning.
Range Hood Blower
installed inside the hood, it is composed of a motor and an impeller or fan blades. It draws the air into the hood.
Remote control
accessory that allows the use of an ADA handheld remote control of the hood. Some hoods like ceiling models will include this accessory with the hood, others are sold separately.
Speed
the level of operation for the motor. The higher number indicates a greater extraction capacity.
Watts
the value of the hood's energy absorption while in operation. The value varies depending on the hood model, speed selected and if lights are operated.
